10,000 Black Men Named George                     From left, Mario Van Peebles, Andre Braugher and Charles S. Dutton star in "10,000 Black Men Named George," the true-life account of civil rights champion Asa Philip Randolph. Randolph (Braugher) organized the black men working as Pullman Car porters on the nation's passenger trains, forcing the Pullman Co. to recognize his union and, in 1937, negotiated the first contract given to a group of black American workers. Premiere is Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Showtime.


 

 

Big John Meets Elvis                                               Responding to pro-Yucca Mountain lobbyist John Sununu's recent comments suggesting that Americans rethink vacations to Las Vegas, the destination's delegates 'Elvis' and a Las Vegas Showgirl offered the lobbyist a taste of the town. The pair sent a package for Mr. Sununu on Friday, February 8, 2002, containing items representing "All Things Las Vegas" to lighten up his perception of the worldwide destination.
